Marketing Content & Creative Specialist

The scope of the Content & Creative Specialist will encompasses both the brands of Chem Chem Safari and Legendary Expeditions, prominent safari and conservation leaders in Tanzania. The position is based out of Cape Town, South Africa and directly supports the Digital Marketer and Marketing Manager. Both Chem Chem Safari and Legendary Expeditions are growing and are looking for a vibrant and motivated individual to join our dynamic team on a journey full of discovery.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with both design, typography and creative writing. Their primary responsibilities will be to provide support to the marketing team by assisting with the production and roll out of all marketing collateral (both digital and print). The role also includes crafting short pieces of creative written content in line with the brand voice, and liaising with various sales and operations team members to compile relevant content for the websites and other communication channels. Assisting with administrative tasks such as dealing with suppliers and coordinating delivery of marketing materials. Lots of opportunity for growth.


  • Creation of marketing material for use across sales and marketing channels, including on-property collateral (print) and digital collateral.
  • Apply brand guidelines consistently across all mediums.
  • Creation of artwork and infographics on Canva.
  • Preparing marketing material to the correct specifications for print and digital distribution.
  • Gathering information from relevant sources for content creation.
  • Building of newsletter frameworks and laying out of content.
  • Applying website content updates.
  • Maintaining effective trade and media support.
  • Assisting the Digital Marketer and Marketing Manager with administrative tasks.
  • Forming and maintaining relationships with off-property team members and suppliers.
  • Coordinating with printers and couriers.


  • Higher Diploma or Degree in Visual Communications (Art Direction or Graphic Design).
  • At least 3 years working in an advertising agency or digital marketing environment.
  • Understanding of print production processes.
  • Proven track record of creative writing experience.
  • An advanced level of computer literacy with special focus on platforms such as Canva, Trello, Mailchimp (or similar EDM), Zoho (or similar CRM), Google Docs, Dropbox, WordPress / Webflow. (Adobe Software advantageous).
  • Familiarity with the luxury travel / retail industry advantageous.
  • Ability to troubleshoot when necessary.
