NAMIBRAND NATURE RESERVE, NAMIBIA
A collection of dreams

Immerse yourself in the desert with scenic drives, the Wolwedans Water Walk, quiet and solitary moments, bushman walks, fat tyre e-bike adventures, a tour of the Wolwedans Village, and iconic sundowners.
Wolwedans is more than a collection of camps: it is a collection of dreams. Its ethos lies in setting an example in sustainability and continually fulfilling its commitment to the conservation of the NamibRand Nature Reserve.
Located in the heart of the NamibRand Nature Reserve in southern Namibia, their portfolio of timeless and elegant safari camps provides the perfect base from which to embark on exciting and interpretative desert activities or simply relax and enjoy the magnitude of the landscape. The red dunes, endless yellow plains, impressive mountain ranges and fascinating eco-systems of the NamibRand, an International Dark Sky Reserve, are unlike anything you have ever experienced. This is a place of ancient energy that restores the modern soul.
Visionary Albi Brückner created the NamibRand Nature Reserve in the mid-1980’s by buying 8 farms, dropping the fences, and so conserving the land and wildlife. In 1994, his son Stephan Brückner built Dune Camp on Wolwedans farm and so the Wolwedans Collection was born.
The WOLWEDANS WAY is a business philosophy based on 3 key pillars leading their decision making.

If you are going to visit one place in Namibia, visit Wolwedans. And for every guest there is 1,000ha of desert.
Desert Lodge is perched on top of a dune plateau, overlooking panoramic vistas in all directions and capturing the beauty of the desert in a most memorable way.
The building style is a combination of wooden structures and canvas blinds, opening up to the desert beyond. The lodge reflects the ambience of a tented camp, but provides the comfort and protection of a permanent building. Each of the ten spacious rooms features an en-suite bathroom and a private verandah overlooking vast stretches of untouched sand, as well as a ‘Wolwedans chiller’ for relaxed afternoons. Sleeping with your canvas blinds open is just like sleeping under the stars.
The Dune Camp & Dune Camp Private provide a more down-to-earth, yet stylish, experience. Positioned on the edge of a 250-metre high dune, it has an unparalleled natural charm. The spacious and comfortable tents are pitched on wooden platforms and include an indoor and outdoor bathroom. A generous deck with a ‘Wolwedans Chiller” (a small water filled silo for the hotter months) and a sleep-out for a night under the stars, facilitate a rather civilized camping experience.
The Family Suite is a 2 bedroomed unit accommodating a maximum of 4 adults and 3 kids. This unit has a small private lounge and dining area plus outside bathrooms, a sleep-out deck and a two ‘Wolwedans Chillers’. Located only a short walk away from the main camp where meals are served and enjoyed. A private guide is also included.
The charm of the camp lies in its tranquil, intimate atmosphere, capturing the essence of simplicity amidst a landscape of silence. Dune Camp requires a minimum stay of two nights.
Mountain View Suite is a self-contained suite at Desert Lodge. This suite has the most expansive views across the vast NamibRand and includes a private chef and guide.
This suite offers 1 en-suite bedroom (up to 2 adults), a private lounge and dining area plus an outside bathroom, and a sleep-out deck with a plunge pool.
Perfect for a couple seeking exclusivity.
The most exclusive villa in the heart of the reserve, Plains Camp caters for 8 guests and is the perfect getaway for families and friends seeking uncompromising privacy and solitude.
Offering 4 spacious en-suite rooms, 2 master rooms and 2 standard rooms, each with its own ‘Wolwedans Chiller’. The main area has a swimming pool and the central lounge area that combines a study, living room, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. 2 Children (under the age of 12) can be accommodated in the sala with private its own bathroom. The villa’s open-plan design allows uninterrupted views of the surrounding nature.
Plains Camp is your special home at Wolwedans. Complete with a private chef, guide, and villa team to allow for maximum flexibility, it demands nothing much of you, but to relax and gaze at the ever-changing colours of the desert.
Situated in the deep south of the reserve and set among massive granite boulders, Boulders Camp is the most remote and traditionally styled camp within the Wolwedans Collection. Its location offers a high level of seclusion and a strong sense of distance from other areas of the reserve.
The camp’s position within this rocky landscape places guests in an area shaped by ancient geological formations and wide desert plains, reinforcing its reputation as the most classic Wolwedans camp.
Activities focus on experiencing the landscape at a slower pace. Guided scenic drives explore the southern reaches of the reserve, while two- to three-hour guided walking safaris follow historic game paths and traditional San hunting grounds. eBiking provides an additional way to cover greater distances across the reserve.
Boulders Camp is well suited to guests seeking a remote setting, limited distractions and time spent exploring the reserve on foot, by vehicle or bike.
