NAMIBRAND NATURE RESERVE, NAMIBIA
A collection of dreams

Immerse yourself in the desert with scenic drives, the Wolwedans Water Walk, quiet and solitary moments, bushman walks, fat tyre e-bike adventures, a tour of the Wolwedans Village, and iconic sundowners.
Wolwedans is more than a collection of camps: it is a collection of dreams. Its ethos lies in setting an example in sustainability and continually fulfilling its commitment to the conservation of the NamibRand Nature Reserve.
Located in the heart of the NamibRand Nature Reserve in southern Namibia, their portfolio of timeless and elegant safari camps provides the perfect base from which to embark on exciting and interpretative desert activities or simply relax and enjoy the magnitude of the landscape. The red dunes, endless yellow plains, impressive mountain ranges and fascinating eco-systems of the NamibRand, an International Dark Sky Reserve, are unlike anything you have ever experienced. This is a place of ancient energy that restores the modern soul.
Visionary Albi Brückner created the NamibRand Nature Reserve in the mid-1980’s by buying 8 farms, dropping the fences, and so conserving the land and wildlife. In 1994, his son Stephan Brückner built Dune Camp on Wolwedans farm and so the Wolwedans Collection was born.
The WOLWEDANS WAY is a business philosophy based on 3 key pillars leading their decision making.

If you are going to visit one place in Namibia, visit Wolwedans. And for every guest there is 1,000ha of desert.
Desert Lodge is perched on top of a dune plateau, with panoramic views in every direction and the desert stretching out below.
The building style combines wooden structures with canvas blinds that open onto the desert beyond, giving the comfort of a permanent lodge with the feel of a tented camp. New wooden walkways now connect each of the 6 Tented Rooms and 3 Tented Family Rooms to the main area, and every room has been refreshed with natural earth tones, raw textures and handcrafted details.
Each room has an en-suite bathroom, a private verandah looking out over untouched sand, and a Wolwedans Chiller for the hotter months. Rooms now come in King or Twin configurations and Wi-Fi now reaches the main area and every room. Sleep with your canvas blinds open and it's just like sleeping under the stars.
Dune Camp sits on the edge of a 250 metre high dune, with a tranquil, down to earth charm that's hard to match.
The tents are pitched on wooden platforms with indoor and outdoor bathrooms, and have just been refreshed with rich natural textures, handcrafted furnishings and a warm, earthy palette. New wooden walkways now connect each of the 6 tented rooms to the main area, which has also been redesigned around a new Silo Bar. Rooms come in King or Twin configurations, and the new daybeds on each deck convert easily into Starbeds for a night under the open sky. Each room keeps its Wolwedans Chiller for the warmer months, and two new guide tents have been added, along with Wi-Fi throughout.
The Family Suite is a two bedroom unit for up to 4 adults and 2 children, with its own small lounge, kitchen and dining area and two Wolwedans Chillers, perfectly suited to families looking for privacy and convenience.
Mountain View Suite is a private, self-contained suite at Desert Lodge, with some of the most expansive views across the NamibRand.
Freshly refreshed with the same warm, handcrafted textures now found across Wolwedans, the suite offers one en-suite bedroom for up to 2 adults, a private lounge and dining area, an outside bathroom, and a Starbed and plunge pool on its own deck. A private chef and guide are included throughout your stay.
Suited to a couple seeking complete privacy. Children 18 and over are welcome, with younger children considered on request.
The most exclusive villa in the heart of the reserve, Plains Camp caters for 8 guests and is the perfect getaway for families and friends seeking uncompromising privacy and solitude.
Offering 4 spacious en-suite rooms, 2 master rooms and 2 standard rooms, each with its own ‘Wolwedans Chiller’. The main area has a swimming pool and the central lounge area that combines a study, living room, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. 2 Children (under the age of 12) can be accommodated in the sala with private its own bathroom. The villa’s open-plan design allows uninterrupted views of the surrounding nature.
Plains Camp is your special home at Wolwedans. Complete with a private chef, guide, and villa team to allow for maximum flexibility, it demands nothing much of you, but to relax and gaze at the ever-changing colours of the desert.
Situated in the deep south of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, approximately three hours from the other Wolwedans camps, Boulders Camp is a secluded retreat set among striking granite outcrops overlooking vast gravel plains and distant mountain ranges. As the most remote and traditionally styled camp within the Wolwedans Collection, it offers a profound sense of stillness, space and connection to the desert landscape.
The camp comprises five spacious tented suites, designed for natural cross-ventilation and comfort in the desert climate. Each suite features a generous bathroom, while three suites include a private sala, ideal for relaxation or accommodating children. Suite 1 has a private plunge pool, while Suites 2 & 3 and Suites 4 & 5 each share a plunge pool.
Suite 1: Double with private plunge pool and sala
Suite 2: Twin (shared plunge pool with Suite 3)
Suite 3: Double with sala (shared plunge pool with Suite 2)
Suite 4: Double (shared plunge pool with Suite 5)
Suite 5: Double with sala (shared plunge pool with Suite 4)
The main camp area includes a dining and lounge tent, breakfast deck, library, swimming pool and open fireplace - a relaxed space to gather after a day exploring the reserve.
Activities at Boulders Camp focus on experiencing the desert at a slower pace. Guided scenic drives explore the southern reaches of the reserve, while two- to three-hour walking safaris follow historic game paths and traditional San hunting grounds. eBiking excursions offer another way to traverse the landscape.
Boulders Camp is ideal for guests seeking remoteness, simplicity and meaningful time in nature, exploring the NamibRand on foot, by vehicle or by bike.
